A warm, abstract archway opening toward light

A place to pause, understand,
and find a way forward.

Often, the problem isn’t a lack of effort. It’s that the patterns protecting you are also keeping you disconnected.

Therapy can help you slow those patterns down and make sense of what is happening underneath. We will look beyond symptoms to the emotions, needs, beliefs, and relational experiences driving them.

My approach is active, collaborative, and transparent. I will share what I am noticing, explain how I understand what is keeping you stuck, and help us develop a clear direction for the work.

your real life.

Rabbi Eli Portal
LCSW

You deserve a therapist who sees the whole person.

I work with individuals and couples navigating disconnection, relationship distress, life transitions, disability, chronic illness, and questions of identity and meaning.

As a rabbi and therapist, I have extensive experience working across the Jewish community, including Yeshivish, Chassidish, Heimish, Modern Orthodox, and less observant backgrounds. My goal is not to make assumptions about where you should be, but to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to go.
